Carol St Don Obituary

Carol James St. Don
October 9, 1940 – November 27, 2025

Carol James St. Don passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, at his beloved farmhouse, surrounded by his family. Born on October 9, 1940, Carol lived a life marked by hard work, dedication, and deep devotion to those he loved. He was a proud graduate of Bristol County Agricultural High School, where his lifelong love of the land and the outdoors first began to take shape.

He is survived by his wife, Caroline St. Don, and his five children: Michael St. Don; Leslie Cunha and her husband Robert; Jo-ann Silva and her husband Robert; Christopher St. Don and his wife Tori; and John Alborghetti and his wife Jodi.

Carol is also survived by his brother, James E. St. Don, and his cousin, John Soule, who was raised alongside him. He was predeceased by his mother, Bertha St. Don (Soule); his father, Joseph James St. Don; and his sister, Althea M. Taylor.

He was the proud grandfather of Matthew Cunha, Kasandra Qualitz, Sara St. Don, Jocelin Westgate, Joshua Cunha, Hannah St. Don, Courtney Cunha, Cayden Alborghetti, and Caitlyn Alborghetti; and step-granddaughters Brittany Silva and Cassidy Silva. Carol was blessed with eight great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him tremendous joy.

Carol worked for many years as a machine operator at Revere Copper and Brass, where he was also a cherished and active member of UAW Local 168. Beyond his work, he was a dedicated 70-year, 7th Degree member of the Acushnet Grange #285, a respected member of the Massachusetts State Grange, and a proud member of Shriners International, reflecting his lifelong commitment to service, fellowship, and community.

An avid hunter, Carol found peace and fulfillment in the outdoors. He treasured time spent hunting, working in his gardens, and enjoying nature with his family—moments that reflected his deep appreciation for the land and the simple joys it offered.

Carol will be remembered for his warmth, integrity, and steadfast love for his family and community. His legacy of kindness and dedication will forever live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
